2025-26 Election Slate

Secretary - Treasurer
Dr. Josh Hatfield practices in Fulton at Total Eye Care. Optometry and vision care have been an interest for him since a young age. Outside of primary care optometry and helping healthy eyes see better he also has a true passion for adult ocular disease management and pediatric ocular healthcare.
Dr. Hatfield, a Tupelo native, graduated in 2005 from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelors degree in biological sciences with a chemistry minor. He then graduated in 2009 from Southern College of Optometry, where he served as vice president of the Mississippi Optometric Student Association. He has practiced at Total Eye Care in Fulton since 2009 and expanded Total Eye Care to a second location in Amory upon the retirement of Dr. Tom Powell in 2017.
Dr. Hatfield has served on the Young OD and Industry committees, and was a member of the inaugural MOA Leadership Optometry class in 2015. He joined the MOA board in 2021.

District 1
Dr. Walter Pang practices in DeSoto County, MS at Olive Branch Eye Care and Horn Lake Eye Care.
Dr. Pang, a native of Batesville, MS, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Mississippi College in 2007. Afterward, he went on to earn his doctorate from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2013. Following the completion of his training, Dr. Pang practiced in the Jackson, MS area for 6 years. He is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and Mississippi Optometric Association. He currently serves on the board of the Mississippi Vision Foundation and as the chairman for the Assistance to Graduates and Undergraduates committee for the MOA. Dr. Pang strives daily to provide his patients with high quality, compassionate and up-to-date comprehensive eye care.

At-Large
Roya Attar, OD, MBA, DHA, FAAO, FORS, is the first optometrist appointed to the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where she serves as Director of Optometric Services. A nationally recognized leader, she has served on the American Optometric Association’s Leadership Development and Paraoptometric Resource Committees, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Attar is also a frequent lecturer and published author, with expertise spanning ocular disease, preventive health, and the integration of technology in eye care. Her career reflects a lifelong commitment to community service, public health education, and professional leadership.
