A Review of Lasers for Optometric Staff This interactive, multimedia course reviews the basics of how lasers work, available lasers in eye care (including LASIK, YAG capsulotomy, laser peripheral iridotomy, selective laser trabeculoplasty, and Femtosecond lasers), and various eye conditions for which lasers can be used. Additionally, best practices for scheduling, coding and billing, and considerations for assisting the doctor and patient before, during, and after surgery will be discussed.
Assisting with Lid Lesions, Injectables, and Minor Procedures This interactive, multimedia course reviews the types of lid lesions commonly found in a primary eye care setting, including options for treating them surgically and medically, and the use of injectable medications in eye care. Best practices for scheduling, coding & billing, and assisting the doctor and the patient before/during/after lid procedures, injections, and other minor surgical eye care procedures will be discussed.
