Virtual Convention

Fall Conference FAQ’s

When is the convention?
Sept. 28 through Oct. 6 for the Para agenda. Oct. 1 – 4 for the OD agenda.

How do I view the agenda, speakers, and information?
Download YAPP from your app store. Use code 2020FALL to access the event. Speaker bios and photos, course descriptions, course objectives, and other information is all available through the event app. If you would like to view it in your web browser, CLICK HERE.

Will the CE be virtual?
Yes

Will the CE be live/real time?
Yes

Will the CE be available after the convention?
Yes, both OD and Para CE will be available for a limited time. You will have access to the courses for 7 days after the conference ends. You have that amount of time to take the CE courses if you were unable to attend in real time. HOWEVER – please keep in mind that if you attend in real time, you are not required to take a quiz. If you take the recorded sessions during the 7 day period, you will have to take a quiz and pass with a minimum 70% score. 

How many hours are provided?
22 hours for ODs: 18 COPE hours and 4 non-cope (including 1 hour for the Virtual Expo, and 1 hour for CPR renewal). 10 hours for Paras: APO CPC approved.

When does registration end?
The registration deadline is September 25.

How will you know I attended?
You will have to log-in to the event and course, which will tell us how long you were in course ‘room’.

How do I log in to the CE?
Every OD and Para registered for the event will receive log-in information a minimum of two days before the conference begins.

Will there be a quiz or test?
Yes, you will need to answer a quick quiz at the end of each course IF you take the CE on-demand during the 7 day period. If you attend the CE in real time you are not required to take a quiz.

Has this been approve by the State Board of Optometry?
Yes, the MS State Board of Optometry has approved this CE.
